We really like Sandanas! In fact we liked them so much that we refused to make a knock off and market it like it was an original Sandana. However, after many request from our customers and players we have spoken with at events, we decided to make something that performed like a Sandana but was was completely unique.
The Designer Paintball, Tieback Head Wrap, takes the best construction ideas that we have developed over the years from manufacturing headbands and combined them with a great design and incredible fabrics, to make and outstanding head wrap. All of our tiebacks have the soft liner that rest against the forehead, the moisture wicking material between the layers of fabric and a cool breathable mesh net to cover the head and back of the neck.
Rather than use Velcro like traditional styles, we decided to use a tie back for a couple of reasons, First, the teams and players we worked with said they like the tie in the back as it helped keep their mask in place. Second, they are much easier to put on and take off. There is no messing with and adjusting the Velcro and trying to tuck in the netting. Third, we think they just look better.
The construction method we use with the mesh netting keeps the corners tucked down so that it fits firmly against your head. This means you won't have to hunt down a mirror to tuck the corners in to make sure your head is completely covered. We also cut the mesh to hang a full 6” longer. That means more protection and better looks.
Sorry Sandana, there's a new head wrap in town.
